To say the least it was an electric hostile environment but in many regards it brought out the best in the “boys”. Before each game my final request to the team was very simple “make the crowd go quiet” . Winning under these conditions was always going to be difficult, Australia boast a proud record of never having lost a series at home and were not going to give that up without a fight !!

Stock horses have slowly made their way to the polocrosse fields of South Africa over the last 20 years or so but now with over two hundred foals that have been bred on South African soils; they are starting to prove their skills, making their presence on the polocrosse field more sought after by the day.
Polocrosse was introduced to the Hout Bay Riding Center in April of this year. The club has since developed from one single player to a number of about fifteen. Players are all beginners, with most of them only touching a Polocrosse Racquet for the first time at the beginning of this year.
The South African National Mens and Ladies teams have been announced. They will be touring to Australia in April 2017
