To say the least it was an electric hostile environment but in many regards it brought out the best in the “boys”. Before each game my final request to the team was very simple “make the crowd go quiet” . Winning under these conditions was always going to be difficult, Australia boast a proud record of never having lost a series at home and were not going to give that up without a fight !!

Stock horses have slowly made their way to the polocrosse fields of South Africa over the last 20 years or so but now with over two hundred foals that have been bred on South African soils; they are starting to prove their skills, making their presence on the polocrosse field more sought after by the day.

Gavin Cocker – Retiring as the South African Captain after 11 years.

Hannes Van Aswegen, our PASA Chairman, awarded Gavin Cocker with a framed South African shirt at the SA Champs Prize giving to pay tribute to his eleven years of captaincy. Gavin is one of the only players in the world to have played in every single Quadrangular and World Cup since the first Quadrangular held in Pietermaritzburg in 1997.
