Horse Welfare

The Polocrosse Association of South Africa is committed to getting our Horse Welfare up to the SAEF standards.

🐴 Horse Welfare Notice

We have a dedicated team of Horse Welfare Officers, led by Kerry Lynn. Please contact your provincial Horse Welfare Officer should you have any queries.

Below the contacts, you will find the official Horse Welfare Letter, which explains exactly what is required for various tournaments. It is essential that all members read this letter carefully and ensure they have the correct passport and vaccination records.

This process has been in place for several years, and polocrosse has made significant progress toward full compliance. We thank you for your positive actions thus far and ask that you continue to help your club members become compliant.

Key Actions for Members

  • Review the Horse Welfare Letter in detail.
  • Confirm your horse’s passport is valid and up to date.
  • Ensure vaccination records meet tournament requirements.
  • Contact your provincial Horse Welfare Officer for guidance.
  • Support fellow club members in achieving compliance.
